Building Habits That Stick, Even When You're Not Feeling It

There are days when the motivation is high, and we feel like we could conquer the world. But...there are also days when getting out of bed feels like a monumental task, and that’s okay.

Habits aren’t built on your best days—they’re built on the days when you don’t feel like showing up at all. And those are the days that matter most.
Here’s the deal with building habits: You don’t need to be perfect.
You don’t need to nail every workout, every meal prep, or every work task. You don’t need to be ‘on top of your game’ 24/7. What you do need to do is show up consistently—however that looks that day.
Sometimes, it’s doing 5 minutes of stretching instead of a full hour workout. Sometimes, it's just reading for 10 minutes instead of finishing that whole book. And that’s okay. Because habits aren’t about perfection—they’re about consistency!
Action Steps You Can Start Using Now to Build Your Habits:
Identify one habit you want to work on, but without the pressure of perfection. Don’t expect to be perfect at it—just expect to try.
Commit to showing up for that habit, even if it’s for a shorter period of time or in a less-than-perfect form.
Track your progress without judgment. Celebrate the act of showing up, no matter how small.
At the end of the week, reflect on how you feel. Do you feel proud of showing up even when it wasn’t perfect?
Consistency is the key to building lasting habits, and consistency doesn’t require perfection. It just requires you to keep going, even when you're not feeling it...and that will happen often!
