We can have the best intentions but no matter how much we want to make healthy choices, it can easily feel like there just isn’t enough time. The best advice I can give is to start small and build from there. To help you get started, here are some habits you can implement right now to make a difference in your health:
Meal Prep
I know – I sound like a broken record, but I swear by this tip! Spare yourself some stressful evenings and poor decisions by doing some legwork on the weekends. Chop up your veggies, pre-cook some meat or prepare a batch of rice etc...anything you can do now to easily put together a healthy meal in the evening after a long day will be beneficial.
Slow Cooking
Remove the stove completely and dust off the slow cooker. There are so many meals you can make in the slow cooker that are healthy and cook themselves all day so you come home to a ready meal. This is an underappreciated appliance and needs the spotlight more!
H2O
Getting enough water will help you stay full and feel energized. Keep a reusable bottle with you at all times and fill it up when it’s empty! This habit alone can boost your health immediately.
Active Lunch Hour It does not take much time to eat, so instead of wasting most of your lunch break sitting some more - use it to get in some activity. You can go for a walk, use an empty space for a quick workout or join a nearby class. It doesn’t matter what you do, it matters that you get up and move!
